Maine’s Lakes & Mountains Tourism Council
Established in 1992, Maine’s Lakes and Mountains Tourism Council (MLMTC) is a non-profit Maine corporation with 501c6 designation that exists to promote and advertise with a global perspective the State’s identified Lakes and Mountains Region, as an attractive lakes and mountains vacation experience. The Council plans for tourism growth, promotes the region, coordinates with other tourism partners and provides assistance to their members throughout Western Maine. Council membership is open to all organizations in the Council’s region that have an interest in planning for tourism growth and/or promoting tourism.
Working closely with Maine’s Lakes and Mountains Tourism Council (MLMTC) to promote Western Maine as a tourism destination, AVCOG provides staff support, grant writing expertise and fiscal management services to the Council. Current MLMTC members include the Chambers of Commerce for Androscoggin County, Bethel Area, Greater Bridgton Lakes Region, Franklin County, Jay-Livermore-Livermore Falls, Oxford Hills, Rangeley Lakes Region, River Valley Area, Sebago Lakes Region, the Flagstaff Area Business Association and Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments.
